One name, two worlds
SHESAMNE: where sound becomes matter
SHESAMNE was born in 2018, far from my native island, out of a deep need: to unite the ritual of sound with the tangible reality of the earth. It all began—almost by chance—with the stroke of a drawing. That mark evolved into words and musical compositions, only to return once more to the material realm in a more expansive and conscious form. It is a profound connection that, through the power of slowness, has brought everything together.
For me, there is no separation between a musical note and a mark incised in clay: both are heartbeats of the same story.
My compass
The name Shesamne holds the origin of everything. It was born from the profile of a woman sketched on paper—an image I created to serve as my inner compass.
It represents my personal guiding star, that steadfast point reminding me never to lose my way and to remain true to my cardinal points, even when the frenzy of life carries me far afield.
Today, Shesamne is both my sonic sanctuary and my tactile workshop: a place where every creation is a ritual and every object serves as a guide to help one stay on the right path.
The Naïf Ritual: Between Instinct and Slowness
My work explores what I call *Ritual Naïf*.
It is an approach that rejects haste and mass-produced perfection. "Ritual," because every creation emerges from a suspended, almost ceremonial moment, where the manual act becomes a form of meditation. "Naïf," because I seek to preserve the pure gaze of someone seeing the world for the first time—a space where error does not exist, but instead becomes a precious detail, a mark of truth.
Matter and Sound
In this space, the objects and illustrations are not merely artifacts, but keepers of frequencies. Everything often originates in the silence of my studio, nourished by the same vibrations that fuel my sound compositions. When you hold one of my pieces in your hands or listen to one of my tracks, you are stepping into that very same "room" where I retreat to create.
Inhabiting the Ritual
I invite you to explore these fragments of my world—not merely as products, but as companions for your everyday spaces.
An invitation to find your center through the beauty of the handmade.
